Beast Week- Ganesh the Elephant Boy

Recently for Beast Week we learnt the story of Ganesh. The class created Elephant Masks and learnt the story of Ganesh by heart, including actions, in Talk for Writing.
All these stories have been written from memory following our talk for writing sessions.
This is the story of how Ganesh got the head of an elephant by JJ
Many centuries ago, Shiva the destroyer went to battle the gods. Pravaati the Goddess of beauty and wealth was alone in her house. She had an amazing idea, she decided to make a boy. So she used her powers to create the most handsome boy in the world. She ordered the boy to guard her house while she baths.
Shiva returned victoriously from defeating the Gods. He asked the boy to let him in but the boy refused. Shiva got infuriated and decapitated the boy.
Pravaati heard a terrifying scream and sprinted as fast as her legs could carry her. She sprinted back to her house to find Shiva and her decapitated boy.
She begged Shiva to bring back her beautiful boy back to life. Shiva ordered his soldiers to find the first sleeping animal and chop of its head.
So the soldiers searched the forest and they came across a sleeping elephant. The soldiers chopped off its head and took it back to Shiva.
Shiva put the head on the boy and used his powers to bring him back to life. Pravaati still wasn’t happy, so Shiva made Ganesh into a God and said, “people will pray to you before they start work or do something is difficult.”

How ganesh got the head of an elephant by LM
Many centuries ago, Shiva was away winning the battles against gods. Meanwhile, Parvatti was all alone and decided to create a boy.
Shiva the destroyer reappeared after he won the battles against the gods. Parvatti asked the boy if he could guard the house while she takes a bath. Shiva came and asked if he could enter, but the boy said, “NO!”. So Shiva slashed off the boys head.
Parvatti heard a shriek, so she sprinted out of her cosy bath and saw that Shiva smashed off the head of the boy, Parvatti was horrified.
Parvatti said, “therefore get me another head for the boy.” So Shiva ordered his soldiers, “You must get me another head from the first sleeping animal you can find in the jungle.” The soldiers went off to find the first sleeping animal. They found an elephant, which was sleeping. The soldiers cut off the elephants head and brought it back.
The soldiers came back with the head. Shiva placed the head on the boy and with his powers he made the boy into the elephant God Ganesh.
Pavarti s till wasn’t happy, so Shiva made Ganesh into a God and said, “people will pray to you before they start work or do something is difficult.”
